So, yesterday, I had an appointment with an admissions staff member at the Illinois Institute of Art-Shaumburg (which, by the way, I will never remember the name of). There was still carnage I had to clean up from the can-wars, so I got up and was working on them when I got stung (without reason aside from simply being there) by a wasp. Little bitches hurt.
Anyway, after mourning my poor finger, I took a shower and my mom and I got off to a late start; dad was going to come with us originally, but he stayed behind to do the rest of the cans for me. Around 12:30, I called the person we were supposed to meet to explain I was going to be late... and then 30 minutes later called her again to say that we were stuck in construction traffic.
Since it was obvious we weren't going to make it to the Institute in time for anything, mom and I decided that, since we didn't want to waste a trip to Chicago, we'd go to the zoo in place of the college. (There's not that much difference between a college and a zoo anyway, right?) So we went. It was a lot of fun, actually, although they needed more animals. They had a surplus of displays. We hung out there for four or so hours, had food, saw the penguins, the lion, the bears and a giraffe, among other things. Good ol' zoo fun, I say. We ended up getting home at 9-ish.
Tonight, Gina's supposed to come over and we're going to have an Anatomy party. We have a test on Wednesday, not to mention a bunch of other crap we could/have to do. (God darnit, this wasp sting is freaking itchy!) So, do our Anatomy, have some snacks, watch some movies. Should be fun.
I have to call back Stacy at the Institute- and set up an appointment with someone from Savana Art Institute in Georgia. So far, I haven't done much today except go to Wal-Mart to drop off my car for an oil change and tire rotation and attempt to go to Goodwill. Probably won't do much than that. Maybe clean my room.
That's all for today, folks.
What does tomorrow have in store!
